We're busy racing Dawn Star, despite having to reserve all power for
essential safety items. We're sailing with no instruments except the
compass, with a battery powered headlamp hanging over it to light it at
night. Jay, Cam, and Sam put together a knot line, so we can get our
speed the old fashioned way, by throwing it over the side, and counting
the number of knots that unspool in 6 secs. Quite accurate really.
We're having fun in the North Atlantic, though this wasn't quite what
the brochure said...
