> 01:06:52. A jubilant crew bring the Big Bird to the line at the lizard. The race has ended for us. This is no time to mourn our loss to Phaedo who have our sincerest congratulations for their outstanding victory in the multihull class. We could have wished for more wind, as do many still, to have really made The Bird fly. A view of the tracker today revealed a new mid Atlantic starting line for the remainder of the fleet and it is a tribute to our navigators and helmsmen that we coaxed all the power out of the available wind to bring us here in 13 days and ahead of that wall.

> The race has been a challenge, not built as a race boat, but a large sailing super yacht, we are proud of our performance and proud to have been part of this spectacular event with all her challenges. Thank you to all the organisers, sponsors and participants. This was wicked!

> The remaining hours of our race presented us with an awe inspiring seascape view of the setting sun over bishops rock. Tonight as the engines rumble and the props turn for their first time since the start, the moon sets to our stern, a large yellow orb.

> Sadly we cannot linger to enjoy the festivities and the camaraderie with the other crew, as our purpose and business hails us back to the Med, but we wish were able to and to the fleet still at sea we wish the best. Phaedo, I know, I still owe you a round of drinks...
