Prior to his current role, Michael was the COO for the Investment Products division of Smith Barney and has held a variety of other product management roles within GWM, including responsibility for Syndicate, Insurance and the firm’s wrap fee, non-advisory programs.

Michael started his career at PaineWebber and had roles in Equity Research, Investment Banking, Retail Strategy, Retail product management and Operations over a 10 year period prior to coming to Smith Barney. Michael has a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Rob Windsor grew up sailing with his family and learned how to race Long Island Sound. He is a marine industry professional with experience at one of the area’s most successful sail lofts as well as commissioning and fitting out boats for one of the largest boat builders in the US. Currently he is the preparateur for Dragon.

Rob is an accomplished one design sailor with several Regional and National Championships to his credit. He also has had multiple podium finishes in some major East Coast offshore regattas. Lately, shorthanded, long distance racing has become his passion.

“After years of racing on fully crewed yachts, it is great to dial it down to just two people responsible for making the boat get to the finish line first. The Class 40 is a great boat for this kind of sailing and I am really looking forward to the Atlantic Cup and the rest of Dragon’s season.”
